Strength training is a vital part of a balanced exercise routine. Regular aerobic exercises make your muscles use oxygen more effectively and strengthen your heart and lungs, while strength training actually increases muscle mass by making your muscles work against the extra pounds. At the Frederick Athletic Club we have provided a whole section just for you full of free weights (dumbbells, barbells, and hand weights), resistance bands and weight machines.
